The listing was accurate but nothing prepared us for the huge potted orchid in the living area and the fresh vase of roses in the bedroom. Charles was very friendly, relaxed and helpful and made us feel most welcome. We have stayed in three apartments in Paris over the last 8 years and this has definitely been our best experience. Both from the point of view of the apartment which is spacious, beautifully maintained and in a fantastic part of Paris, and the feeling that Charles had our best interests at heart. We are already planning to return next year. Our stay was perfect. Charles told us he lived locally and although we didn’t need to, we were confidant we could have called him with any questions, unlike our previous hosts who made it clear they didn’t want to be contacted unless it was urgent. The apartment is sun filled and spacious, olive trees and oleanders blooming on the balcony, Paris at our feet. What more could you want?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charles is a very nice landlord and very helpful for tourist. He provided a lot of useful information for us. The appartment is gorgeous and clean, specially for that bookshelf filled with books. The position of the apartment is very convenient, it’s close to metro. My friends and me like this appartment a lot, and if we go Paris, we will choose it again.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stayed in Paris for 4 days. The apartment is nice, clean and big enough for 6 people. Especially the new bathroom is great. Linen and towels are provided. We loved the diswasher, too. You have to walk a few stairs to get to the apartment but that was no problem. Charles was very friendly, helpful and you immediately feel comfortable in the apartment.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We loved Charles’ little flat. Very compact but quite comfortable and in a wonderful location, with supermarkets and many, many restaurants within close walking distance. And not too many flights of stairs to walk up – a real bonus after a hard day in Paris. Charles was very helpful and replied to emails quickly and helped us sort out any issues really quickly<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joli appartement fonctionnel m\u00eame si un peu exigu pour 2 couples. Tr\u00e8s bien situ\u00e9 car pr\u00e9s de tout, en m\u00e9tro, en bus, \u00e0 pied. En outre la qualit\u00e9 d’accueil de Charles nous met \u00e0 l’aise et nous rassure d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but du s\u00e9jour. A consommer sans mod\u00e9ration.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very nice apartment, right near all the restaurants in Bastille. Charles is a very nice host and greeted us on our arrival and assisted us with the locations of sights we had planned to see. Clean, cosy apartment whereby the Train station is about a 10min walk away which can take you into the heart of Paris. What you see is what you get, my wife and I had a great time in Paris.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charles’s apartment is very comfortable, clean and has everything you may need. We were a group of 5 people (family) and it has plenty of space to accommodate us all. The location is good because it has a metro station close and plenty of shops around. The neighbourhood was the only think that didn’t fulfil my expectations because I though it was closer to Montmartre, but it’s ok. Charles is very nice and he gave us a very warm welcome. He is very available in case you have any issues with the apartment or any questions regarding Paris.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We had a brilliant stay in Paris, and felt very lucky to have found this beautiful apartment. It was comfortable, stylishly furnished, full of light, situated perfectly, and generally a pleasure to be in, right down to the little ornamental details. It was actually far too easy to imagine ourselves living here, so it was quite a disappointment when we had to leave and return to reality! We will certainly return though, I can’t recommend this apartment and host enough. Charles was very attentive and communicative, and on hand to lend assistance should we have needed it. We didn’t, but it was nice to know. 10\/10.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We stayed in the apartment for almost a week and it was very nice. The flat is small but enough and comfortable for a couple, well-equipped and cozy. Good location (close to metro, 20 minutes walk from Notre-Dame), the area is lively but quite in the apartment. Charles is a perfect host, his hospitality and advises made our visit in Paris wonderful. Recommend with any doubt.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was a perfect apartment for me and my wives’ weeklong stay in Paris. Bright and spacious and nicely furnished. The apartment is ideally situated in the upper part of Marais (Haut Marais), with lots of good restaurants, shops, cafes and bars in the neighborhood. And when you are tired of walking there are two metro stations just metres outside your door to take you all over Paris. Charles was a great host: friendly, nice and very helpful. He was very easy to communicate with and quick to reply. I am a light sleeper and was a bit worried that noise from the street below (the apartment is on the top floor of the building) might disturb me. I am happy to report that this wasn’t a problem at all for me. We would definitely stay here again.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He met us on the street, spent a lot of time showing us the apartment and talking about things to do nearby, and always responded to any questions we had right away. We are family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children. This is first time we have used Airbnb and we were very pleased. For value absolutely beats getting 2 hotels room. Charles was a great communicator we had no problems. Flat had plenty of space with modern kitchen and bathroom. Was nice to come back to a homely space after being out all day in Paris. Beds were comfortable I have no complaints. Thanks for a great stay Charles!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a very charming and light apartment in a lovely and quiet neighbourhood, very central in le Marais. The building is great, classic! Nice view from the balcony. Lots of nice shops, restaurants and cafe’s at walking distance. Metro station almost at the front door. Supermarket just down in the street. Monoprix has nice croissants! Charles is a kind host who wants you to feel comfortable and we were! We can definitely recommend this place and will be back!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The apartment is located across the street from the metro which makes getting around easy. There are plenty of markets and restaurants within walking distance. I was on a trip with my parents and we enjoyed a lot in Charles’ flat. It was nice and clean and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Towels were enough for our 3 nights stay and the location was very nice! Preparing the trip, Charles was very responsive and it was very generous of him to allow another person, my aunt, to stay at the last minute. Thank you again!! The stairs to the flat is a bit narrow to carry big luggage and of course there is no lift, but it is mostly the same else where in Paris \ud83d\ude09 I would definately recommend this place!!! I think the place is perfect for a couple or a couple with a child. We were 4 adults, but it was okay for us because we were family.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

S\u00e9jour tr\u00e8s agr\u00e9able, l’appartement est grand, confortable, propre et tr\u00e8s pratique, il ne manque rien, il est situ\u00e9 au 2\u00e8me \u00e9tage seulement et les bougies parfum\u00e9es sont bien agr\u00e9ables. Il est de plus, tr\u00e8s bien situ\u00e9, non loin de la fameuse rue de la Roquette o\u00f9 il y a pleins de commerces et de bons restaurants, tout pr\u00eat de la Bastille pour le th\u00e9\u00e2tre et le m\u00e9tro et bien s\u00fbr, un grand choix pour se restaurer, et puis \u00e0 quelques minutes de marche il y a le fameux cimeti\u00e8re du P\u00e8re Lachaise o\u00f9 il fait bon se promener. Pour ma part, je recommande le petit restaurant bar \u00e0 vin, le Chat Ivre, dans la m\u00eame rue ! Charles a \u00e9t\u00e9 joignable instantan\u00e9ment et je le remercie pour sa disponibilit\u00e9 et son accueil tr\u00e8s sympathique. Je recommande vraiment cette adresse.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My friends and I have really enjoyed our stay in Charles apartment. It’s a convenient place and close to the center of Paris. It takes around 10\/15 minutes to get to the centrum by metro depends on where you want to go. There’s a supermarket, metro and a mc donald on the other side of the street. The apartment has everything you need and it’s big enough for 6 people. I really recommend Charles apartment \ud83d\ude42 !<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Charles was a wonderful host. Very attentive and friendly. The place was super cute and clean. The beds were comfortable. Space is snug, I would recommend for a couple or single person. My friend and I did have our own space in the two rooms but since I was in the living room some of my stuff overflowed into the kitchen. The place is also located near public transportation, including two hop on hop off bus stops. Very convenient. The only down fall was the noise from the neighbors. We could hear them talking and up late both on weekends and week days. We were so exhausted after our longs days it didn’t really bother us for long. On the plus side we did get serenaded one night! Overall I would recommend and I would go back!<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
